Lotus and Loyalty - Creative Arts Exhibition of Li Xiaolin’s Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting

Using "Modern Literati Space" as the design concept, Lotus and Loyalty - Creative Arts Exhibition of Li Xiaolin’s Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting, creates a pure, tranquil, and Zen-inspired environment in Lion Lobby at MGM COTAI. The exhibition features on 14 floral-themed traditional ink wash paintings and over 100 exquisite cultural and creative products, inviting audiences to resonate deeply with Ms. Li's artistic vision and aesthetic pursuits, as well as her passion for art and Chinese culture.

The floral works presented in the exhibition highlight the sentiments of scholars. In Chinese culture, the lotus serves as a powerful symbol of purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. Lotus also signifies prosperity and harmony for Macau. The dynamic imagery of dancing plum blossoms and blooming peonies embodies love and blessings.

In a meticulously designed contemporary study, a series of cultural and creative products inspired by Ms Li’s calligraphy and painting is available for sale, including purple clay teapots, vases, tableware, wine vessels, and stationery. To enhance the guests’ appreciation of a modern lifestyle enriched with artistic flair and craftsmanship, paying homage to the rich culture of Chinese literati and allowing for the vibrant and diverse transmission of culture.

Upholding the commitment to promote arts and culture, the exhibition content will be featured in the "Blooming Lotus" Festive Art Tour. This tour commences daily at 3:40 PM at The Spectacle. Together, we will explore the blend of tradition and innovation through lens of art, embark on MGM’s Road to Art and experience the infinite possibilities of arts and culture. About Li Xiaolin

Ms. Li Xiaolin, born into a highly respected family, was imbued with an excellent upbringing, fostering her global perspective, pragmatism, and dedication to truth and learning. She has achieved remarkable successes across academic, professional, and artistic fields, as well as in politics and business. After earning her master's degree in Power Systems and Automation from Tsinghua University in 1988, Ms. Li Xiaolin began at the grassroots level of the power system and rose to become a significant leader in the company.

She is currently the Chairman of the Huaxia Culture Promotion Association, Honorary Chairan of the Tao Xingzhi Education Foundation, and Lifetime Honorary Chairman of the United World Chinese Association.

In 2007, Li Xiaolin was named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" by Fortune. In 2008, she received the title of "Outstanding Contributor to National Corporate Culture in 30 Years of Reform and Opening-up". In 2009, she was recognized as one of the "50 Most Powerful Women CEOs" globally by Time Magazine. In 2010, she was once again named one of the "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" by Fortune and was ranked first among the "Top Ten Economic Women of 2010". In 2011, she was selected as one of the "25 Most Influential Business Leaders in Asia" by Fortune magazine, being the only female business leader from China to make the list. She was also named one of the "Top

50 Women in Global Business" by the Financial Times and received the title of the "2011 CCTV Person of the Year in the Chinese Economy". In June 2014, she was honored with the title of "Outstanding Leader in Environmental Protection". In January 2015, she was named one of the "Top Ten Figures in Chinese Enterprises" for the year 2014. On September 19, 2019, she was awarded the "Energy Merit Lifetime Achievement Award". On January 5, 2024, she received the Global Chinese Women's "Outstanding Woman of Excellence" Award. On March 11, 2024, she received the "Lifetime Achievement Award for Women" from the United Nations Women and Children's Development Fund.
