“Blooming Lotus - Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Macau’s Return Art Exhibition”

To celebrate return of Macau and the upcoming Lunar New Year festivities, MGM is honored to support the China Chamber of Tourism in presenting the "Blooming Lotus — Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Macau's Return" Art Exhibition. The exhibition is centered around the theme of "Return" with a highlight on "Intangible Cultural Heritage", featuring a total of 40 exhibits, aiming to present beautiful blessings for Macau "In the name of art, riding on the meaning of lotus." Among the exhibits, 25 featured pieces resonate with the 25th anniversary of the return of Macau, inspired by "Lotus", which symbolizes Macau.

All artworks are available for sale, including Chinese intangible cultural heritage and national level crafts, showcases the craftmanship includes filigree inlaid metal art, Yixing purple clay, Cizhou kiln pottery, Suzhou Embroidery, bronze carving, woodblock printing, jade carving, and handcrafted porcelain from Jingdezhen.

The exhibition showcases artworks with festive meanings, including the pieces "Lotus Blossoms" and "Lotus in the Prosperous Age, Four Seas Concentric" by Master Wang Shuwen, renowned as the "first person to inlay flowers," symbolize peace and prosperity, along with the bronze sculpture "Happy Event," which represents abundant harvests. An interactive area is also featured in the exhibition, allowing guests to experience woodblock printing and cylinder stamping, with a focus on inheritance and innovation, exploring the re-creation of traditional Chinese intangible heritage techniques.

Upholding the commitment to promote arts and culture, the exhibition content will be featured in the "Blooming Lotus" Festive Art Tour. This tour commences daily at 3:40 PM at The Spectacle. Together, we will explore the blend of tradition and innovation through lens of art, embark on MGM’s Road to Art and experience the infinite possibilities of arts and culture.
