Venture into the enchanting universe of Echo the Wind Wanderer, where artist Ekokaxi crafts a landscape to enter, touch, and explore with clay, paper, yarn, and sponge. At the heart of this journey is the enigmatic Echo, a creature who spans the Macao Museum of Art and MGM COTAI’s Lion Lobby. Through her gaze, visitors are invited to see the world anew, question reality, rediscover themselves, and embark on a journey across time and space.
Here, rules dissolve and possibilities multiply. Above all, this is an open invitation for your inner child to roam free. The space offers a haven from comparison and labels, and visitors can shed the weight of judgment. Yet, woven throughout are peculiar creatures, cryptic symbols, and untrodden paths, transforming each step into a daring adventure. Visitors are welcome to touch, play, misinterpret, imagine, collaborate, and act – witnessing Echo’s world and helping shape it as co-creators.
About the Artwork
Artist：Ekokaxi Wang Wandering in a Parallel World
The artist envisions herself stepping through a portal into a parallel world, where every sensation is hers to discover, touch, and explore. In this section, each artwork becomes a companion to Echo, guiding her on adventures across countless universes. She invites you to awaken your curiosity, reopen your senses, and let your inner child play freely in a space unbound by shame, guilt, or rules.

Who is ‘Echo the Wind Wanderer’? Echo is a group of mysterious creatures from a parallel universe, currently hiding in the Macao Museum of Art and the MGM COTAI, awaiting your visit! Join hands with Echo and follow in her footsteps across these two venues to embark on an immersive artistic adventure full of exploration, play, and imagination, where misreading and collaboration are welcome. Come participate and co-create this world with Echo!
A limited-edition plush toy from the ‘Wandering in the Parallel World’ collection is waiting to find its owner!
Visitors who complete their exploration of both exhibition venues and collect all exclusive stamps will be eligible to win a prize during the Stamp Collection promotional campaign. Prizes are limited and subject to availability.
Campaign Period:
From 26 July to 11 October 2026, during opening hours
How to Participate:
1. Visit both exhibition venues mentioned above, pick up the exhibition pamphlet, and collect two stamps at the designated stamping area
2. Present your completed stamps at the reception desk on the 1st floor of the Macao Museum of Art or at the Lion Lobby reception desk in MGM COTAI for verification to enter the prize draw. Each participant is limited to one entry in the draw
3. Prizes include plush toys from the ‘Wandering in the Parallel World’ collection or exhibition-themed stickers. Prizes will be distributed randomly and cannot be exchanged after the draw. Availability is limited
4. The Cultural Affairs Bureau and MGM COTAI reserve the right of final interpretation and decision regarding this campaign

Macao Museum of Art | Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6:30 pm (including holidays)
MGM COTAI | Wednesday to Saturday, from 12 pm to 9:30 pm; Sunday to Tuesday: 12 pm to 7:30 pm
